Description
Don't know what to do with Olaf, probably trade rights in this case.
Realistically think he stays.

Chicago needs cap and bodies. Gets a young player in Casey Mittelstadt + a top 5 NCAA goalie on a team needing on badly. Plus picks and 9M in salary off the books on an expiring UFA.

JOHNNY AND MATTY REUNITE. Buffalo trades 2 young Dmen, one of which, is one of their top D prospects + picks for Tkachuk, who wants out after Johnny Hockey signs in buffalo!

Talbot in MINNY IS A MESS! Buffalo gets him as a pending UFA.

YES SUBBAN IS OVERPAID!!! WE PROBABLY HAVE TO !

Yeah this is just quantity over quality. Literally all those players dont even add up to Kane. We can keep him and have more offense. I think its very clear that Hawks want picks, not players.

Does Kane accept this cause he misses home? (No one misses buffalo) I'll bet Kane if moved wants a contender and basically every team that would be considered a contender can afford Kane for the one year at the 5.25-6.5 AAV range

I will bring this up every time: you the one, again speaking for Kane as if you knew him, that repeatedly said over and over that Kane will retire a Blackhawk, and Chicago means so much to him, it his home and no matter what he'll never leave. You said this like a month ago. Now all the articles read, "no chance Kane is staying in Chicago". You have no idea what Kane wants lol

Actually, one of my friends is very good friends with Kane and i've hung out with him multiple times. My friend said not a chance he goes back to Buffalo, he wants to compete. So yes, I do laugh with what you're saying with this conviction and have no association with him. And the Hawks are forcing him out now with trading Cat and not signing strome so yes, now he will likely want to go...things change fast buddy

Without Kane the Sabres can be a wildcard team, If they had Anderson all last year they were a 100 point team. With Kane theyre easily in.

I can make up stories too, funny only when backed into a corner you suddenly have a mutual friend that you never talked about in the last 5 years

Patty Kane and I actually play D&D over Facetime with a bunch of our other hockey friends from back in the day, and he said Buffalo is only 1 of 2 spots he'll waive for so yeah. Things do change fast, unfortunetly on this site that logic is only applied when its convenient. If he was really ride or die with Chicago like you said, it wouldnt matter whos on the team or if theyre tanking

LMAO, not made up guy...I'm not close at all with him, but I've been out with him and group of people multiple times years ago. My friend is close with him though and in his inner circle of friends. I don't talk about it, because I don't talk to him directly so it is hearsay and haven't seen the guy in 6 or 7 years or so and barely talked to him when we were out in the same group of people. But my friend says things and if it's coorobarated by the guys covering the Hawks then it leads me to believe it's true and Kane has no desire to return to Buffalo unless they are competing.

I'd disagree, but absolutely understand the hoping of wildcard spot, buffalo although slight improvements is still very much out of the picture, all the other Atlantic non playoff teams have also improved in hopes of unseating one of Boston, Tampa, Florida or Toronto that's all 4 spots - maybe Boston slides back but not yet they have another year or 2 left in them, maybe TOs goalie situation causes them to drop out but not likely their defensive team game has all around improved and is trending to continue to improve, maybe Florida was a one and done maybe, and Tampa really isn't going anywhere yet they're likely tired and start slow but they'll fine.

That leaves Ottawa (now better) and all other bottom feeders have all improved Buffalo really hasn't

Boston is missing half of its top 6 until December, and Bergeron may retire. Buffalo with Dustin Tokarski as their starter was better than all of the "bottom feeders", (unless you mean the entirety of the bottom 8 the Sabres were not bottom feeders) they also have only added to their roster, even if no one on this site understands that ands still thinks they're desperate for any cap dump cast off, Ottawas D and goaltending will sink them, everyone is already over rating them, Debrincat doesnt make them a contender. MTL is also being overrated, but they will be improved their d and goalies are also a mess, and Detroit is worse. NYI hasnt done anything to improve and theyre all getting older, NJ is rudderless, Columbus again have terrible goalies and a meh D, but also if Laines gone theyre done. The East is going to be way tighter next year
