Yeah especially because Barzal would either request a trade or take his QO. He does not want to play wing.

Which is why I can’t see them doing this. Barzal isn’t a winger. Need to trade one of Nelson/Pageau in the next week if they want to do this

The only way it works is if you move Nelson up to play on Barzal's right wing and move Kadri to the 2nd line center position. Still an overpay for Kadri

This goes against Lou’s philosophy of his team needing to be like an orchestra. Barzal and Nelson do not want to move to wing. Plus Kadri is going to get closer to 9 mill.

Aside from the last couple of years under Trotz, Nelson was flipped back and forth between C and LW all the time.
