Description

The downfall of the oilers last season was defence and goaltending, both got major upgrades. Meanwhile the offence stays basically the same aside from swapping kane for giroux and adding in a few depth pieces with holloway coming in and can play almost anywhere(put him on top line with mcdaivd as I see this as the biggest plus for him and the team to run 3 good good lines) and the addition of heinen .Heinen is not an offer sheet he didnt get a QO, he will be a UFA. honestly he prob goes for 2m+ but if its anywhere in the 1.5m range oilers should jump over it.

You could just keep Smith and Klef on the LTIR

Not taking that cap for a 6th bud. We got fleeced on the Cat but thats not the norm. the other moves have been pretty reasonable.

the blackhawks have done nothing but blow it up this summer for pennies. they are deep deep deep into a blackhole of atleast a 5 year rebuild. they will take any picks.

No denying we are in a blackhole but making further reckless moves like that only increases the blackhole
