that kings trade is horrendous. why on earth would the kings do that trade? both vilardi and kaliyev are young and both will be studs.

I guess you haven't seen blues cap space? they have exactly 625k right now. krug gives them 7.125k. but go on.

Take away every single Tkachuk and Gaudreau goal last season and the Flames finish +3 in goal differential. Same as LA who took the Oilers to 7. You want to argue that the Flames playoffs were bad but I almost guarantee you spent the playoffs running around talking about how Gaudreau and Tkachuk disappear in the playoffs, so what's the difference really? Pick a lane and stay in it, preferably not this one cause you've got a playground zone thought process but trying to play in the left lane on the QEII.</div></div>
glad you just admit the flames were **** in the playoffs. at least you wont have to worry about that this year

blues still wouldn't have space for tkachuk. that would leave them with little over 7m. so not too realistic here

and you would be surprised - no team has the cap space for him, would be sending calgary bad contracts the other way.

you just lost your best 2 players - and 82 goals. with absolutely no-one to score how is that going to work? and elite systems? the same systems that you couldn't score on dallas with? or that let in 5 a game vs the oilers?
the only thing Calgary has going for them right now is that they have cap to eat bad contracts in order to start the tank

I think they will likley just keep them on LTIR, but it would be more ideal for them to be traded

My Leafs roster predictions
Chicago says no. its going to take a 2nd to just dump mrazek, your not getting strome for a cap dump and a first.
Edmonton doesn't give that up for a dman that wouldnt even crack their roster (Edmonton doesnt need RHD at all, in fact looking to get rid of barrie) which is embarrassing to say the least.holl fetches like a 4th on some teams.

this whole thing has to be a joke. sandin makes more than 900k now his QO is about a million. you are not getting him or liljegren for under 1.5m each. engvall has arbitration rights and will make over 2m easily. the comtois trade is alright, however his contract is 2m, his QO will be about 2.2m hes not signing for less than that he will get a raise.
Vegas laughs in your face.
Edmonton laughs in your face, especially since this is next summer plans. muzzin is already bad and edmonton doesnt need an overpaid LHD with their young D coming.
NJD probably laughs in your face considering they should fix there goalie troubles this year, and actually need cap to sign pretty much their entire roster which is UFA or RFA next year.

Question, why on earth would you want kane for 5 years? he’s 30 years old and plays a physical style, will it be the same in 4-5 years? when he’s 35? I don’t think so.
Yamo doesn’t sign for 1.5m.
0 point in signing a backup when skinner is ready for that role and better than tokarski anyways.

These signing numbers are so ridiculous. Comrie doesn’t make 3.25m, Jesse doesn’t sign in Edmonton for 1.5, they don’t trade Ceci he’s there 1 defensive RHD. you made the defense worse, goaltending worse and arguably the forwards worse. that’s tough to do.

theres 0 chance anyone is signing keumper to 6.5m. not even ken holland. the eye injury will be of major concern for teams.

as an oilers fan i think this is the most fair trade i have seen created on this website. change of scenery for a few RFAs and the oilers pay extra to dump kassians cap. trade makes a lot of sense both ways.

I get there is ways to work it in but went down a very challenging path. I don't hate this Gibson do think he can be much better here but I want to see skinner given a chance to run with it before making a significant investment.</div></div>
the 3.4m saved in keith cap next year only, is actually close to the cap relief of sekera and lucic coming off the books in 2023 at 2.25m. combine that with the increase in cap and the fact that contracts like derek Ryan is off the books it should be okay.

the trade are a mess but i will leave that out.
the UFA signings are ridiculous numbers, did you pull them out of a hat? firstly christian fischer is an RFA, his QO is 1.1m so minimum he makes that. danton heinen put up 18 goals. hes probably a chunk more than 1.5m in arbitration. subban never signs for 750k or for 2 years, if he takes a small AAV it will be a show me deal to get paid next year. same with phill, 1 he wont go back to toronto, 2 he will make atleast 5x as much as that, imagine thinking a consistent 50-60 point player will take league min for 2 years. holtby is prob in the 2.25m starting range.
in total for your signings your atleast 5m cap short of where you should be.

Mega Deal
as an oilers fan i actually think this is a decent trade, you get a young dman for a fair price and a small cap increase, the upgrading the pick to a second to take on kassian is the type of trades i think holland should make. this only happens however if either keith retires or they trade barrie.
the rangers trade however, i think you are off your rocker. no chance NYR throws a first there for that, if anything id argue detroit should throw in the first, and i still dont think NYR says yes.

he 100% will. he wants out of boston. if he makes it clear hes not signing there as a UFA (which it look like he has) it handcuffs them to trade him, teams that are handcuffed lose trades because they dont want to lose him for nothing.

the dylan strome trade is just weird, it wont happen. its RFA rights, if you were just to offer sheet him at 3.8m its a 2nd only, theres no reason to throw in more to trade for him, plus foegele to most teams is cap they dont want. its just strange. they will not trade tyson barrie to retain cap, that ruins the point of trading him away, they only trade him to clear cap especially if they add a pick in, hes a good 3rd pairing guy, just not for 4.5m. you are bit expensive on yamo and jesse. McLeods good as thats his QO, think you are little low on kulaks AAV.
