Why are we adding in a trade we are already losing. You do realize that Robertson is 3 years younger than comtois right?

Ducks need big LWs to complement smaller centers and RWs (Z and Terry). Comtois shouldn’t go anywhere, but your value isn’t unreasonable

everything minus his shot I would say, Comtois' one year removed from leading the Ducks in scoring (isn't THAT impressive but it's important to note) and I expect him to be better than what this year was; especially with a 34 or 91. Robertson hasn't made himself a spot on the Leafs roster consistently after 3 stints over the past few years. Not nearly as excited as I was in 2020 after he put up 55

Probably because he doesn't play with 34 or 91. He broke his leg. I don't think we can blame him for that. Leafs over marinating prospects is nothing new and it's frustrating. Will be much like liljegren. Everyone will **** on him then want to offersheet him.

I like comtois. I had higher hopes for him. But leafs will keep the younger cheaper player with more team control . Trading off Robertson before giving him a chance would be short sighted. He's much more than just a shot.

I think trading him for picks or for low value maybe would be short sighted, but Comtois is in a similar boat as him; he would just do more for this Leafs team right now imo

Comtois is in a similar boat 3 years older. Robertson is 20. You don't need to look much further than his brother to see just how bad this trade could go for the leafs.

The difference is that Comtois has already proven himself at an NHL level, just is stuck with a terrible coach right now.

we'll see, I hope that's what ends up happening with Robertson but I just don't see it right now

No one saw it with jason either. That's why you don't trade high end prospects for "let's hope he bounces back". No one will criticize a gm for a trade turned down that they don't know about. But you can sure the hell bet they would roast one for a trade that goes bad.

this whole thing has to be a joke. sandin makes more than 900k now his QO is about a million. you are not getting him or liljegren for under 1.5m each. engvall has arbitration rights and will make over 2m easily. the comtois trade is alright, however his contract is 2m, his QO will be about 2.2m hes not signing for less than that he will get a raise.

Vegas laughs in your face.
Edmonton laughs in your face, especially since this is next summer plans. muzzin is already bad and edmonton doesnt need an overpaid LHD with their young D coming.
NJD probably laughs in your face considering they should fix there goalie troubles this year, and actually need cap to sign pretty much their entire roster which is UFA or RFA next year.
