Agree, if the Leafs can get a first for him I'd take it. I don't think he will sign for $1.5 x 2 though.

I think he wants more term, as reports in Toronto suggest he doesn't want a similar bridge deal like Lilgren took. Although there's also reports that he wants out of Toronto as there isn't a great path to playing time on the left side. So if guaranteed playing time with the cup winner, maybe he would sign that deal.
