That's an overpay for Burns, but it's certainly intriguing. Why would you put him back to forward though? We are missing a top pairing RHD that can help Provy out, why not just slot him there?

Also, I would assume that MacEwen signs and he is either a C or RW, probably a RW so he doesn't have to take faceoffs, and you can save the 825k for Stone. Plus, I'd rather play Attard if you keep Burns there.

The move is certainly interesting but your lineup is a bit flawed.

I appreciate your input.
I didn’t want to lowball on Burns in this hypothetical situation. I tried to look at SJ’s side and looks like they have quite a few openings so I didn’t want to do Burns at 50%(4MIL) retained.

I put him on the top Forward line because I feel like we can see what Deangelo would do as the number 1 man on the right, and the forward groups I created (especially the top 3 lines) would create an overall better team so we may not have to worry about defense as much as the past however many years… Not to mention how I would absolutely love to see that first line.

I agree they will probably sign MacEwen in real life, but I don’t know how he fits with my fake scenario lineup.

I will take your word on Attard though, didn’t get to watch him this past year because honestly I gave up on the team…
