Lol, Copp is getting 6 mil over at least 4 years. Maybe 5. Not to mention the fit ain’t great for MIN.

The fit is unbelievable for MIN, tough guy with character who has above average skill. That’s right up Bill Guerin’s alley as to the type of players he covets, not to mention he can play every forward position which Evason loves.

Yep, I'd rather this means we go after Puljujärvi.

But it feels like Talbot would of been a better choice to make that happen though. But with Vanecek delt to NJD, it makes sense to get Gustavsson back as part of the trade.

Wasn’t Puljujarvi just qualified by Edmonton ?

I'm pretty sure he meant fit as in cap hit, not player fit.

Jost for Jesse is what makes sense for me. I have no confidence in Dean that he’d play Jost in a top 6 role so probably time to max the return on him.

I wonder if Greenway could be in play for a bigger piece at this point.

I don’t know what Guerin would be opening up cap space for then, we don’t need any more defenseman, we don’t need any more goalies, and we don’t need anymore bottom 6 forwards. The place I’d be looking to address is the wing spot next to Rossi and Boldy. Gaudreau isn’t a 2nd line player and is better suited at center because of his defensive prowess.

If they did, it's so they can move him. They didn't have as many takers for him as much as they'd hoped he'd get.

Furthermore, he's stated he doesn't want to come back next year and they agreed to move him. Qualifying him likely only means they're giving themselves more time to get a trade worked out due to UFA starting tomorrow. As long as he's got that Qualifying offer on the table they can keep his rights, he'd of gone to UFA if they hadn't extended it.

You could play him between 97 and 36 and move Hartman to RW with Rossi and Boldy. I just liked the idea of giving Rossi two big wingers.

Hence why I want Puljujärvi.

Boldy-Rossi-Puljujärvi is a sneaky good line to me.
