I’d rather have Dubois for 2 more years and leave in FA than a low first round pick and a 3rd line Center.

I'd rather have the 1st and Dvorak who's signed for three more seasons at less than $5M, he probably puts up 50 points playing with Connor without all the dumb penalties Dubois takes, the 2023 draft is supposed to be deep and Florida could regress a bit, keeping Dubois would be a massive mistake.

Why should jets bring selling off, their window is 2 more years then you have a lot of key guys leaving. Getting a florid first round pick means the player is probably not gonna be in the nhl for another 5 years, then you have Dvorak how you’re assuming he can be someone he’s not. He’s not a play driver or a game changer like Dubois is, he’s a middle 6 guy and nothing more.

The Jets are going nowhere anyway, they aren't going all in the next two years, collect some assets and move on, won't get anything better for Dubois now or in the future. Maybe it was a one off but at even strength Dvorak was as productive as Dubois this season, if he can keep that up its not a stretch to think he could be a 50 point 2C playing with Connor.

Dubois is no play driver or game changer.. LMAO 🤣

Oh I remember, you’re still extremely salty about Laine being traded. Has nothing to do with Dubois, you’re just chapped about laine being moved

Well they did lose that trade badly but no that has nothing to do with my reasoning, theres zero to be gained by keeping Dubois a day longer than necessary.

Like really do you think the Jets are going anywhere with this core??! Are they really going to go all in the next two years??!
Are they truly contenders with a Morrissey/DeMelo top D pair?!!. 😆 LOL
No they aren't, collect some assets for PLD now and move on, its the best course of action.

Because rebuilds don’t sell tickets, making adjustments to try and win sells tickets and making money is something this team very much has to do. Jets had zero coaching direction for multiple years now and it badly screwed them up. They got a whole new coaching system, they still have one of the top goalies in the league, the got enough forward talent up front to produce goals, they have young upcoming rookies that will make an immediate impact and yeah they don’t have a #1 defencmen but they have enough back there for them to compete. When you trade Dubois, Dvorak isn’t filling that gap and a low first round pick won’t be in the NHL for years.

They just hired a coach that instills boring defensive hockey and this team isn't built to win 2-1 games.

You know what doesn't sell tickets, losing games 2-1 while playing unentertaining hockey. I think fans would more likely support a young and entertaining team if they see a clear direction than same old same old that's going nowhere fast.

The forward group really doesn't score goals outside the same 4 or 5 guys, is Chevy finally going to fix the bottom six this offseason? Sorry but I have my doubts that he even sees that its an issue having amongst the worst secondary scoring in the league. This defense can tread water sure but they aren't going on some cup run with it, Helle could backstop Colorado to a cup but he isn't stealing any games which is what the Jets as they're currently built need, he's no Vasi or Shesterkin.

This team and frankly organization is dysfunctional, keeping a guy around who doesn't want to be here isn't going to help sell tickets or anything else, it's time to move on.
