I think it’s a bit over for him. If there’s an extension in place I think it gets chalked up to a “hockey trade” maybe a 3rd at most… but I get having to add if an agreement can’t be made before a trade

Just my opinion though

No to all of this... in what world has Zadina earned 4x4?!?

Provorov for Bertuzzi straight up would be a no, let alone adding and that was before FA, now, there is really no deal for Provorov that makes sense unless Philly loses their mind and gifts him to us.

Well this is what happens when a Toronto fan wants to stir things up.

Honestly we most likely don’t have the cap space, plus you may have a slightly better chance with Sanhiem

Provorov definitely has more value than Bertuzzi. Not by much, and with all those signings you really don’t have a 1LD. However, you guys have a ton of cap space so smart move would be dealing prospects and picks for him

We have at LEAST 2, #1 LHD... they're just not there YET. Between Edvinsson, Wallinder and Johansson, in a couple years we're going to have too many and not enough minutes for them. We don't need a true #1 right now, just a stop gap until the rest are ready. From an outside perspective, it might be worth it on paper, but for Detroit, the fit and Bertuzzi's impact on the team, Provorov is not a fit and certainly not worth Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi has improved his production every season and he is coming off a 30g season where he was almost at a point a game pace. He is very good defensively and he shows up to play every night. Provorov is good offensively and on the power play but defensively he's below average and his rels are awful. Since Detroit isn't a playoff team and with several good LHD prospects Detroit has no reason to move Bertuzzi for Provorov straight up why in the world would they add Zadina and a 1st.
