Girard does not actually make sense to the Ducks, not sure on Blues deal (I think I just want it keep Comtois) and need a 2nd attached to the Jackets deal to be happy

Barby has more value then comtois imo but they are basically the same type of player. Also I was at Getz last game and comtois was the only one giving 100% the entire time. I’d love him in stl

Barbashev is a pending UFA and Comtois is 23. The trade makes no sense for the rebuilding Ducks

Yeah man, I think we were on here talking during that game and you said the same thing! I’m real big on Comtois as I’m sure anyone here can notice that

Love it. I bet this last year was bad because anything that could go wrong for him did

It does but it isn't necessary. Trading Compher should be adequate. After this season, they can trade Toews. Moving Girard is a knee-jerk, superficial move.

Why would STL trade a 26 yo (healthy) 60pt defensively sound Center for a 23 yo 16pt offense driven LW who can't stay in the lineup...and add a pick to the acquisition?

Barbashev is a key member of the Blues grit and defense, and he adds 26 goals a season for only $2.25 mil cap hit... You'd need to trade a first and Comtois just to get him lol

That works for the Jackets. Nyquist is worth more than that, but, well, we're not in much of a position to argue if we want to keep Laine, so... would hope he does well mentoring the kids there.
