Why do people persist in thinking that Anaheim would strain to reach the cap floor? We're less than $10 million away with 6 roster slots to fill, including re-signing Isac Lundestrom, who will almost certainly cost more than the remainder average. Trading for one $3 million middle-6 forward or signing one $3 million free agent should see us home without stretching. We won't be making moves just to take on cap.

. . . including the now-prohibited condition on a player re-signing.

Boy did Dubas f**k up not taking the Weegar for Andreas Johnsson and Dermott deal. Dubas turned that down and then flipped Johnsson for Josh Anderson..lol. Wow.

Surprisingly, I do like the Matt Murray move. I’m from Pittsburgh though. I’ve seems Murray’s upside and it’s not elite but it’s close to it. Yes, he’s was bad for the Sens and at the end of tenure in Pittsburgh. But the talent is there.

Murray >>>> Mrazek. And imo, Murray = Campbell as well. I think Murray gonna surprise people this year.

Grab him where u can if u play fantasy hockey. That was my 1st thought when I saw the trade. I’m grabbing Murray in both my fantasy hockey leagues if I can.

Nobody realizes the John Moore is a duck either. He’s on the roster that’s another 1.25M in cap space used. There’s no need for these Muzzin or Scandella trades.
