Yea I honestly made this with like semi seriousness. The Seattle and Columbus trades are pretty serious if I do say so. It is hard for the canes to do a laine trade based on the current cap situation. They would have to unload one of their guys over 5m AAV to make it work. Pre patches I think the canes pull the trigger on a guy like laine but now that they have him, they probably don’t have the cap to move for him. Maybe next year though if laine signs a deal that’s shorter term and he is on a bridge deal. Playing with Johnny tho will definitely bolster his value so I’d imagine he doesn’t get moved. The Johnny move basically seals his future in Columbus
