Hence why he wont be traded

Dvorak armia and poehling and maybe add a 2nd rounder in 2024, that would be habs offer and jets should and would decline, then they'll sign him for one or two years and if in 2 years they're not playoffs contenders they'll move him half retaind for a 1st and a prospect

Thanks for this What MTL is offering right now is what the Jets can get in a years time or even at TDL in 2 years if it comes to that.

If Dubois won't sign long term, he will be cheap for this year and next and the Jets can try to win now. Unless we trade for Suzuki, we will go backwards and thats pointless at this time

Suzuki is better, signed to an 8 years deal
Dubois doesn’t want to sign long terms with any team except the Canadiens. So 8 years of Suzuki is worth wayyyyyy more than twice 2 years of Dubois

Contract aside, HOW is Suzuki better? Better shooter? Passer? Skater? IQ? ???

Suzuki has better value right now due to his contract, but everyone agrees that, skill wise, Dubois is the much better player.

Dubois has seize and a better shot than Suzuki
The rest : Suzuki > Dubois

Shooting is kind of important.

Dubois is more physical
Draws more penalties
Protects the puck better (fewer giveaways and fewer in the Dzone)

Draws more penalties but takes a lot of penalties
Suzuki was playing for the worse team so of course he will have worse stats in the giveaway
But Suzuki is worth 2X PLD but isn’t two times better
