Unless they plan to trade ty smith I don't see a reason they should offer sheet Sandin one of them will end up being a healthy scratch a lot and that is not very good for their development.

True ... not ideal, but Smith still has options & can get minutes in Utica, if they went this route ... he'd be POd though
