But which one fits the Avs better? I think Rodrigues has the slight edge in terms of foot speed/skating but Stastny is a very high-IQ player although he doesn't play much C anymore.

Rodrigues barely plays center. Stastny is a good face off man when he plays at the center spot.

The Homer in me would love Stats to come back home, but the hockey guy says Rodrigues. He's more versatile and can possible stay for a few years on our 3rd line.

But I think he gets a multi-year deal or a higher AAV somewhere else, so the more realistic option is Stastny. I could even see him signing a lower AAV deal to come back to the team that drafted him and try and chase down that ring.

I think Tierney is going to be a great pickup for someone this offseason - if the Isles needed C help I would be clamoring for them to sign him to a 2x$1.5M type deal
