I can't imagine that Rob Blake's first priority as GM of the LA Kings is to pick up two players that push them extremely close to the cap. They have 16 players signed for next season, and have $10 mil to fill those other roster spots. I'd imagine a good chunk of that will be sent re-signing Tyler Toffoli. I don't get why you Leaf fans are so horny to move Bozak? He's a perfect fit for your team?

Nor can I imagine that Doug Armstrong really gives two licks about the 2020 draft. That's 3 drafts away. What value does that have to a team that's a playoff contender? They have absolutely no reason to move him. If they did, it'd be for a heck of a lot more than that. The guy is a beast. Just imagine yourself on Armstrong's end of the conversation "Sure, we'd be happy to move Parayko...give us your best package that includes one of Marner/Nylander, plus your 2018 first, plus plus plus". Shanny would obviously laugh, hang up, and go elsewhere, but that's what it would take.

Ottawa doesn't match the Pageau offer? Washington would prefer the younger Burakovsky than one year of JVR you would assume. Fehr and Smith have repeatedly put on waivers with no takers, now suddenly Boston wants to trade picks for them?
