Heh. Adding Bailey is a non-starter.

I think the only way STL moves tarasenko is in a 3 way trade than gets them tkachuk from Calgary so depending on if Calgary is looking at a rebuild or to compete and honestly Josh Bailey isn't to valuable

I don’t buy into the Bailey is a negative asset BS but ur right. STP can’t afford him next year. The other issue is that Lou won’t move all this draft capital for a 31 year old winger on an expiring deal.

Blues can’t afford bailey next year. I could c them taking a package centered on Beauvillier but that’s about it. I think last summer they discussed an offer built around Beau and Mayfield for Tarasenko and maybe Bortuzzo. But I don’t c Lou moving picks for Tarasenko tbh.

I didn't say he was a negative asset. But his 5m cap hit for 23/24 not only defeats the purpose of trading Tarasenko, it adds to the problem they want to solve.

Bailey is not going to be traded this year, although I think he should be. He will play his 1,000 game this year at home against the Rangers most likely and I do not think Lou is going trade him before that.

No I get that lol. The non-starter comment just surprised me since he can be rerouted to another team as part of a deal imo. But it would probably be handled separately tbh.

I think blaming Bailey for their issues is short sighted. If you mean they needed to trade his contract to add a star I get it. But any deal for a star probably involves Beau anyway. I don’t c a world where they move bailey to add a star.

Army isn't one to take on speculative extra work like that in a trade, especially when most GMs seem to be steering clear of him. I wouldn't want it, either.

Steering clear of who? Army or Tarasenko? Why do you say that?
