Really? I thought flames would be trying to replace Gaudreau’s production and Kadri makes sense to me. Genuinely curious why he’s not appealing for them.

Saw this trade in another ACGM, whatever the return is the coyotes just need a goalie and the stars don’t need Dobby

Oh no my comment wasn’t a shot at your proposal at all. I absolutely think it would cost a second to move him the way things are in the league. Which is why I hope we keep him and let his contract expire

How does Kadri replace Gaudreau at all?

He was on pace for 100 points this season at a more premier position than Gaudreau. And he just won the cup so he brings playoff experience. Again, I’m genuinely curious not trying to make a point. I thought Calgary would be looking to load up and make another run, not sell or stand pat.

Kadri is turning 32 before the next season starts and has only had 1 season in his career over 60 points. This years production was clearly an overachievement and he will certainly regress. Probably back to his 50-60 point range. While Gaudreau probably won't hit 115 points again it is quite likely he hits at least 90 again.

Valid points. Just not sure what else Calgary can do to remain competitive, unless their plan is to retool/rebuild

Take the NYI route. Not panic. They have a lot of cap space opening up next summer and there are some really good options. Much better than Kadri
