    Okay I agree it may be a slight overpayment, but that is just completely wrong. Carlson for Nylander would get Toronto in the market for a new GM immediately. Although, it would be a great idea for GMBM to ask about Nylander to play on Backstrom's RW.

    I'd offer Johansson, Carlson, and a later pick to get Nylander. Maybe another prospect back to Toronto.

    I agree with this. Carlson is a top pairing defenseman. They aren't cheap by any means. Probably the most expensive type of player in the league right now. That is a pretty big overpay.

    Re-signing Shattenkirk would be a huge mistake.
    The defense just got very weak, very fast by moving Calrson and Siegenthaler.
    There is no way Toronto is going to move Nylander. They cannot afford to trade Nylander ($900,000K cap hit) for Carlson + Johansson ( $4mil + $4.6mil ). That puts them over the salary cap by about $7.5 million!!
