Barzal is not moving to wing , there is no reason for the isles to make that trade

Not sure that is an overpayment at all if you look at the last four years of Lindholm's numbers. And yes Barzy would go to W as he likes to create off wall and Lindholm better at dot.

Lindholm 2018-22 = GP 289, G 117, Asst 144, TP 261
Barzal 2018-22 = GP 308, G 69, Asst 157, TP 226

I am 45+ year Isles fan loyally but we all need to get off the Barzy elite wagon. He has elite talent but it has yet to manifest itself outside his rookie season. Lindholm is quite honestly the better player at both ends of the ice. If there is any way i can trade for Lindholm and keep Barzy on my roster than this nowhere near an overpayment

Umm yes there is a reason - Lindholm is an elite scoring true first line center which Barzy is not. See my post above.

Lindholm played with two SUPERSTARS. Do you not understand that the quality of your teammates affects production in a major way?? Barzal has played with 3rd and 4th liners half of the time the last 3 years. If Lindholm Barzal switched places, Lindholm would struggle to score 25 goals and Barzal would have 100 pts.

Barzal is a top 3 transition center in the game and he is a 1C. you don't neuter his skillset by putting him at wing. Also , it's a contract year and his agent is JP Barry. There are two ways this ends, either Barzal requests a trade immediately after the Lindholm trade or he signs his qualifying offer at the end of the season which walks him to UFA.

There is 0 chance Barzal accepts moving to wing, his skillset is best suited for center. He knows that, his agent knows that, and anyone who knows hockey knows that's the case.
