Silly to think that Lindholm will replace Nylander's production. His spot is infront of the slot which is where Tavares plays.

I don't think he will, but I think moving JT to the wing is an ideal move and the overall team production decline will be minimal, and outweighed by other benefits. They can play around with the top 6 lines.

There is no need to move Tavares to the wing yet. He was slow last year but you need to take into account that he was recovering during the offseason from his injury rather than training. He's still an elite center, so let's see how he does this year. That's something he mentioned himself and he's motivated to increase his production next season.

Adding Lindholm would be nice, but without getting rid of Nylander. Andersson would be nice too but the cost of acquisition of the both would be hefty. The second line doesn't need to be reshaped just needs the missing piece. The defense will have to be addressed later.

Devils aren't giving up that much for only two years of Nylander but I think there'd be a discussion to be had if Tkachuk doesn't work out.
