Not a MTL or WPG fan, but I can almost guarantee WPG will still be actively trying to trade PLD until it happens or he hits free agency.

The qualifying offer acceptance by PLD will just further fuel the rumours as there is cost certainty so both team will know the dollar figures to fit in the cap.
Hard to believe PLD starts in Winnipeg, the reception would be brutal!
They need to move on and rebuild already, don't see how they move pieces like Wheeler. Moving any long term money will be very difficult for them.

They are giving Dubois a media interview Monday so I’m not too sure if they are gonna try and get rid of him this year. Maybe next year?

Next year after this one year contract is up, he will be a UFA and they will not have any control over him and won't be able to get anything for him. So, that's what makes me think they will be trying to get anything for him before that happens.
