Its a W because Calgary will have ~25 mil in cap space next season (assuming Mangiapane contract is 5 mil + others), got a 100+ point premier playmaker, a solid top 2 defenseman who would be great with Hanifin, a decent prospect, AND a first. Florida gets a good player, Calgary gets 2 good players.

Is that not absolute overkill? And we don't even know Kylington's contract yet. CGY is for sure losing one of them next summer. Gotta think Huberdeau is asking for more than Tkachuk which is why they made the deal in the first place, so one of them for sure doesn't stay. I guess if CGY convinces Huberdeau to extend, it's a W but it just makes no sense to me with no certainty of an extension. There's a solid chance both just walk and CGY are left with a 1st and nothing prospect.
