I always thought Lazar could be a third line center if he got a chance. But I seriously doubt Vancouver will give him that chance lol.

I think they will because Allvin said that Dakota was an NHL player and the only way for him to be one is if Lazar is on the 3rd line

I really like Miller but I just don't see us giving up this much for a guy who is probably a rental for us

I get that, but I feel like the wild need something right now other wise they will be taking a step back from last year because of trading Fiala

Miller is a rental and Minnesota doesn't do that trade since their cap situation is a mess from those buyouts. So having cheaper players is more valuable

I don't disagree but I also don't really think we're in a cup window. Last year was completely unexpected, nobody thought we would be as good as we were. Our real window is in 3 years when the Parise and Suter dead money is essentially gone. We're better off just keeping the picks/prospects and building for those years when Boldy, Rossi, Lambos, Wallstedt, Faber, Addison, Ohgren, and Yurov are all entering their primes while we also still have Kaprizov under contract.

I think our best offer would be something like Dumba, Jost, and a 1st which definitely gets beat by other teams.

Minnesota declines..besides it Miller, a rental not being worth this, it's been made clear Guerin will not give up 1st round picks, or prospects for rentals. He even put conditions on MAF trade last year. With all due respect, it's not a deal wild will make. There's a reason Guerin is being careful with wild capspace. Besides 2023 1st round picks, 2023 top picks in general aren't being given up by teams, and with judd brackett, Guerin hasn't given up picks like this
