If that trade for JVR was available prior to Johnny Hockey signing with CBJ, I think Fletcher would’ve done it. Note I think he’ll just hang on to JVR and trade him for a small return at the deadline.

Ottawa would be better off using 2nd and a 3rd to move Zaitsev while not taking back another cap dump.
