Don't see NSH doing that. They are pretty stacked on center depth Fabbro might be Ellis replacement in two years if his contract is too rich for them to keep him.

I think Nashville just trades Ellis. They're about to lose him in the expansion draft so i think they have to consider moving him.

Nyr aren't keeping both Staal and DG, odds are one gets bought out.

Doubt it happens this year, probably happens before next season (2018-19). At that point, the buyout penalty for Girardi will only last four years instead of six.

But they're both really experienced, top 4 defensemen.

While I agree that the penalty would only last 4 years if they wait a year, (I think that is the smarter move) I just for some reason seeing him or Staal bought out or traded with retained.

If Mika gets 5 years, it'll be the Brass deal Max and if 4 years, it'll be the CK deal. 4/4.5-4.75

In any Nash to Dallas deal a goalie is coming back the other way. Even with the retained salary I don't think Dal could fit him under the cap.

what are you talking about? They aren't losing him. They are going 4/4/1. Protecting Johansson, Forsberg, Arvidsson, Neal, Subban, Ekholm, Ellis, Josi, Rinne.. Idk what you think they are going to do but that's wrong..
