If you mean we’d like to keep the ones we already have, then yes. The ones being offered aren’t really as useful.

A solid goalie prospect, 1st and 2nd. Portillio isn't coming to buffalo, and they aren't high on olofsson. Not sure what more you'd expect to get lol.

I am not going discuss if Buffalo needs Blomqvist, or Pettersson but the trade heavily favors Buffalo.
Olofsson more or less equals 2023 1st and 2024 2nd while Portillo is slightly more valuable than Blomqvist, Pettersson tilts the scale substantially in favor of Buffalo.
I have become an Olofsson supporter this past year, but IMO another first in 2023 and with Peterka apparently near NHL ready, I would make the trade.
Finally, with the Sabres over loaded with LHD, it may be possible to retain half of Pettersson's salary and fetch another good pick from the 2023 draft.

Bottom line, I would look past the currently and keep my eyes on the prize and build for the future.
