Yep. Just ignore what the other team needs. As long as he's not on your team anymore. Wait a minute... How did Dadonov, Drouin, Byron, Hoffman, and Armia end up on the Canucks?! Same way the Habs got DiPietro I guess...

I mean, I'm just playing around with ideal off-seasons while still being reasonable. Hawks get a free pick and added cap hit to reach the floor late. It was a hard value trade.

Personally. Over paying for Dipietro. Though given it's a 25 3rd I guess that's a bit of compensation for 2 years until you "see" the asset used.

Canucks don't make that Murphy trade, if they do, they'd do 1 for 1. Not adding a pick.

My logic is, Murphy is better and has a better deal. I actually would have done more just to move Myers in all honesty.

Yeah he is better for sure. But Vancouver isn't in the position to pay to move him. And Chicago doesn't want to add to a trade.
