We aren’t signing Kadri. If Huberdeau and Weegar won’t extend before the TDL both should be traded. We should not go through this crap again

worth noting they should sign Kadri to low salary high bonus in the first year to make the money work. Depending on how low kadri's first year of salary is, the flames could potentially sign kylington with that money.

Over the cap and 2-3 roster players short. Only way Kadri could end up in Calgary is if Monahan is moved. Lindholm is the undisputed 1C regardless and Backlund would be moved down to 3C in a shutdown role centering Coleman and one of Dube/Pelletier

you cant go through life living like a scared baby worried about players signing or not signing. if the flames arent a competitive team come march, Huby and weeger are easy flips at the deadline for more draft picks. but you didnt acquire them just to trade them, you got them to win, adding kadri helps you win. If kadri (31) remains competitive till hes 33/34, (comparables are kopitar and eberle), you have won that signing.

Not short on roster players as they dont contribute to the cap on taxi squad so guys like ruzi, pelltier, stone and mackey can be on the taxi squad. And we wouldnt be over the cap if we gave Kadri a 4year x 8Million deal with the first year being heavy in bonus rather than salary.

I dunno, signing Kadri at that AAV seems like a recipe for disaster. He plays a rough and tumble game, and it will wear on him in the next few years. It has the potential to be like Gally's contract in Montreal. IF Calgary were to do anything, I'd like to see them get Timo Meier from the Sharks. They need a scoring RW. Ironically, the team needs Iginla now more than ever.

Not sure Kylington is the answer the Sens are looking for on D, Although from what I have seen of him I am interested, but at a lower draft pick coming back as well.
Ideally, Sens need a 4th D that plays on the Right side and can pair with Sanderson on the 2nd pairing.
Kylington is Left shot but does he mostly play on the Right Side? and how do Flames fans feel about his skill level, is he a 2nd pairing-level player on the Flames roster?
