Leafs 2017/2018

Created by: Hozman79
Team: 2017-18 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: May 17, 2017
Published: May 17, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
To protect Wilson and DeHaan I had to expose Carrick in the Expansion Draft. I did shed some youth as the Leafs have plenty and decided a veteran wingers was in order but it doesn't have to be Foligno. I resigned Boyle as he earned it in his short time here. The Alzner signing and acquiring of DeHaan should greatly improve the defensive zone play.

Pure fiction but I don't care for the others and needed a veteran RW. What if Foligno waved his NMC and the Jackets could protect another player from Vegas. Who knows

I don't think you paid enough for Foligno. But I really don't get the logic of needing a veteran forward, especially when you trade Fehr and Komarov just to acquire Foligno. I'd prefer to Kapanen and Carrick over DeHann. LHD are easy to get and the Leafs now have five on your team.

Knowing the mentality of Komarov he would simply stop playing in NHL rather than moving to CBJ. He plays in NHL because he thinks it's cool to play in TOR. He'd be accepted back to KHL in any team he desires and would get paid in several millions.
