Minnesota Wild signed Mikko Koivu (2 Years / $5,500,000 AAV)
What makes you think he didn't give a discount? His yearly salary drops from a little over 9 million USD to 5,5. That number is exactly what the Wild needed in order to stay competitive.

I agree on signing Oshie witch is an obvious choice by both but long term with high cap isn't going to happen. Oshie's previous stats are too low therefore it is risky to sign long term with 7 mill. Short term high cap or long term around 5-5.5 mill.

realistic off season
You would have to add much better picks to compensate the loss when giving away Vatanen, Slavin, Ritchie and Lindholm. Add more pieces to make it worth it.

Nashville Predators 3: Game 6 Line Changes
I'm a little confused... Was this supposed to be the line changes for the game 6 or after it? What ever the case you have Johansen, Fisher and Fiala on the lineup although all are injured.

Leafs 2017/2018
Knowing the mentality of Komarov he would simply stop playing in NHL rather than moving to CBJ. He plays in NHL because he thinks it's cool to play in TOR. He'd be accepted back to KHL in any team he desires and would get paid in several millions.

If the Canadiens GM decided to completely rebuild.
Agreed with Dylan. Also a future no. 1 in Korpisalo for Montoya and 2 nd pick?? It makes no sense. This isn't a rebuild.

Big Trade with JETS
You would have to pick the center from a team that has them "too many" and are facing hard times at signing them. Scheifele is a core to WPG's future success.

Avs, worse next season?
MIN is stacked with centers and value Brodin high so I don't see that trade happening. MIN is in trouble with the expansion draft because they have so much to protect and Brodin would be among those probable choices for Knights. Therefore if a trade involving Brodin would happen it would have to take something that they wouldn't have to protect in the expansion draft (like draft picks)?

Trading one of the big three for defense
I agree. All scenarios where TOR trades their offensive core for anything else are out of the question. They could give up on a draft pick though. Also one of the proven vets could be considered (VanRiemsdyk?) as a part of a trade.

Trade no one would see coming
Why on earth would TOR take a huge risk and let Nylander go? Imo TOR is building a dynasty similar to that of Hawks' and Nylander is in the core of that.

I think it would be wise to not to include Silfverberg or Murray in any predictions. Their respective teams will find some way to keep those guys.

You have Komarov who will be protected and you have several players form a same team.

Draft w/requirements enforced on auto-protect
Otherwise likely draft but I don't get the goalies. Murray will not happen as he will be protected (Fleury will be traded). There is no sense taking the poor Hutchinson over Raanta. Also Miller is an odd choice.

Too heavy on defense, markus granlund will be protected and fleury is too expensive. Your cap space is -5 million...
