Genuinely curious - how do you resign Huberdeau or Weegar in this scenario?
Ebee has 2 years left, at least lucic was coming off the books next year

Monahan coming off the books next year - 6.75 mill. Plus Huby's current contract - 5.9 mill. That's 12.65 mill in space. Huby probably in the range of 9 mill per year, leaves 3.65 mill left over.

Include Weegar's current 3.25 mill, plus the space of 3.65 mill = 6.85 mill. Weegar in the range of 6 mill per year. Still 850K left over if we re-sign both, without any other roster moves - just having Mony's contract come off the books.

To take it a step further, in this scenario, Stastny and Raffl would come off the books 2.75 + 1 = 3.75 mill, plus current cap space of 1 mill, plus cap increase ~ 1 mill next year. Total of 5.75 mill in cap next off season even with Huby and Weegar signed long-term at reasonable AAV's.

I would actually like to see Eberle on that 1st line and hopefully score often on the oilers!

I like the team you put together, only thing is I hope to see Pelletier on the team this year.

Nothing wrong with Pelletier having another season in the AHL and being #1 on the Heat. He will be in CGY anyways as the AHL team is relocating here (which has not been discussed much this offseason). But I think it translates into a very prudent move for the organization and will improve the Heat franchise tremendously having their players around NHLer's on a daily basis.
