I can’t see Nashville trading Saros unless they were tearing it down but they’re trying to compete right now.

This trade would be after next season when Askarov is ready. Nashville could miss the playoffs this year and consider a move like this. 2 more 1sts in a loaded draft class is a great start to the offer, especially if one is like 8th overall and the other is around 18th. Plus 2 2nds, a 3rd and 3 young potential pieces

It’s not bad value but if Nashville is in the playoffs I don’t think they do it, if they aren’t, who knows. Goalies don’t really have insane trade value

True. Having Askarov ready to take over and only 2 years left of Saros is what makes it possible. Who knows if they would do it? Devils are giving up a ton, but they would be willing to overpay for an elite goalie after years of goaltending being their downfall.

Leafs were a very good team with bad goaltending last year. Devils we’re a bad team with bad goaltending last year. So kind of hard to believe we’d give up a 2nd & 3rd for RFA Blackwood. If it ain’t good enough for the Devils, why do you think he’s good enough for a much better team? Murray will be fine

I think that’s great value for the Stars. Money may be hard to fit in though but I assume they can make it work

The value is good for the Stars I just don't see how they can fit all 3 of them in cap wise and roster space wise. They already have 8 NHL capable defensemen so doing this trade would mean two of them probably would have to be in the press box every night and at least one of them gets sent to the AHL but hopefully with this value they can find a way to make it work
