If Pearson is worth a fourth than Jost is probably worth a 3rd. His production isn’t where it should be but I would rather have Jost cause he still has a chance to improve. IK what Pearson brings to the table and it’s pretty meh.

Pearson > Jost

If you mens in terms of points than yea. If you are asking me who I’d rather have it’s Jost. That’s just an opinion. I think Jost has more room to grow. Hartman and Bennet both struggled before becoming legitimate top six players.

Jost doesn't have much more room to grow imo, he is what he is at this point. Hartman and Bennett actually got off to fairly solid starts in their career, they just both took bigger nose dives before swooping back up. Jost has never even scored 30 points in a season

He played a fourth line role in Colorado which was a poor fit for him. Also I’m not sure anyone else would describe Bennet’s start to his career as good. He was productive but there was always some sort of issue when he was in Calgary.

Potato Potato They'd both have mid to late pick value. Not sure there is a much of a role for him in Minn
Maybe he'd blossom playing down the middle with speedy and aggressive players (Pod certainly has offensive upside to play with).

For sure. This might be that chance to improve vs his 4th line roles so far. Plus the FO loves speed and PK.

Jost obviously started on the 4th line, but he was EXPECTED to work his way up the lineup but he never did. You know why? Cause the Avs rushed him. He wasn't NHL ready right after getting drafted. I've said before that the NHL is NOT a developmental league, and Jost is a prime example of that

Better than the current option of Dickinson or Lazar. Dickinson was Lazar before he got to Van but Lazar is on the reasonable $.

Dickinson was a better caliber player in Dallas than Lazar ever has been

Dickinson was never much of anything. He may have a bit more regular NHL time but he Played 4th line and got a little hype during expansion. Not worth a 3rd and overpaid. They are both 4th liners.

I actually like the idea of jost coming to Vancouver but I really hope I never have to see gudas wearing a Canucks jersey

He played 4th line role! What are you even trying to say? You weren't Stars watcher so get outta here..... He was hyped after one solid year. He's never been a good faceoff guy. Even Faksa plays more mins than him.

No, Dickinson played up and down the lineup in Dallas, he never really had a permanent spot there. Faksa is a whole other issue for the Stars
