If all Patches got was Future considerations there’s no chance Nyquist gets any positive value

I agree, although Columbus does seem like a trade partner in a cap dump trade, if anything we'd be receiving picks and/or prospects alongside Nyquist, although I'm not sure how desperate they are after moving Bjorkstrand.

They don't need to make any more room. They're about $2.5M under the cap right now and they'll likely trade Nyquist at the deadline with 50% retained if he's traded at all.

If he is a cap dump, why are we paying for him then? That’s not how it works
