Description
there is too much risk keeping miller for this season, he could get injured or just not produce as well which would drop his value. might as well get a haul rn. with the additions of ilya and andrei, there isn't much room for pearson. dipietro needs a change of scenery. the calgary trade was pure madness, but whatever

Kerfoot is from Vancouver and has a 1 year caphit of $3,500,000 but only needs to paid $750,000 and is an excellent third line shutdown centre with offensive skills so think he actually could be a fit on the Canucks.

Canucks aren't in the business of acquiring rentals

They didn't acquire Miller when he was a rental, the acquired him when he had 4 years of term on his contract. With Bo, they drafted and developed him from scratch, and he's most likely staying. Outside of those two and maybe Luke Schenn, the Canucks don't really have any notable assets expiring next off-season, so maybe you need to rethink you're perception

So you are saying that the Canucks would not trade Pearson, Dickenson, Meyers, OEL, Shenn, Miller and Garland at the next trade deadline as rentals of 1 year or more to other teams?

Sure, but only Schenn and Miller are rentals from the guys you listed, both those guys could be moved

I am surprised that Allvin and Rutherford have not traded some of these Canucks players yet.........I almost think it is this flat Cap world that is making other teams reluctant to take on more salary or else Allvin and Rutherford have over-valued these Canucks players.

It's the former, team's undervalue players that aren't their own and it's not hard to see. Rutherford and Allvin really aren't facing any real pressure points to make a decision one way or another with a guy like JT until the trade deadline. As long as the team is cap compliant, which they are right now, they don't have to move anyone
