Initial Creation Date: Aug. 2, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Slafkovsky starts in Laval so we don't burn his first year, and we don't have to rush him. Harris and Barron could start with Montreal, and stay if they play great, otherwise send them to Laval.

I think Price is ready to go, so either Allen is traded or we lose Montembeault on waivers.

Drouin should play with Suzuki and Caufield so he can get many points and raise his value come TDL. Hell, maybe he gets a career season like Kadri last year and we can get a 2nd or even 1st pick.

Same goes for Dadonov. Pairing him with Dach and Anderson should give him many opportunities to score.

Hoffman is on the 4th line, but gets PP time.

With this roster and Byron on LTIR, we have 2.6M of cap space.

Yes, we will suck, but at least we'll have a chance at Bedard, Michkov of Fantilli!

Nope, this doesn't apply to 18 and 19 years old players.

If a player who is signed to an entry-level contract and is 18 or 19 years of age (as of September 15 of the signing year), does not play in a minimum of 10 NHL games (including both regular season and playoffs; AHL games do not count), their contract is considered to ‘slide’, or extend, by one year.

That's how I understood it too.

You are right I just went as well to verify ! Tobias Bjornfot in LA is a perfect exemple. Then I hope that he plays 9 games and is sent down in Laval

Rantanen did the same thing. I could see Slaf having a similar career arc. Playing AHL this year, NHL the next and then becoming a top line player in year 3.

I just don't think Drouin will look good on the 1st line. (or even deserve it)
And Hoffman on the 4th is kinda useless, not sure what he can accomplish there.

I think Drouin Dvorak Anderson could work again if given a shot under St Louis. They looked great in preseason last year lol. And then Dad with Suzuki and Caufield. Dach can play with Hoffman and Gallagher with more O-Zone starts.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I saw it too.
