Can’t we just take our Derek grant and the 5th and call it a day?

Bellows, Bailey and Panik for Futures is basically the same thing.

Not sure how ducks fans will feel tho. Asking price for a cap dump these days is an arm and a leg.

I don't think Bellows has a future here, so might as well throw him in. I think he'd be good on a young team. Panik is moved because that $250k makes all the difference with calling up players.

IK I’m just saying no point in adding a fifth and grant to the deal.

So the isles get rid of buried salary by adding buried salary?

I mean if the cost of trading bailey was taking back grant fine. But I almost feel like u don’t need a sweetener if I have to look at Derek Grant’s buried salary for a year on capfriendly lmao.

Bellows being a first round asset probably pays for Bailey if Bellows is the real deal, but I don't know enough about his style of play or floor/ceiling to make that call, care to tell me about him?

Not sure about the rest of the stuff in the deal, why are you taking on another 125k in cap hit with Grant, or am I reading that Panik's cap hit isn't 1.375 mil (Detroit looks like they retained half when they traded him to you)

Bellows has the potential to be a decent goal scorer. I'd say right now, his ceiling is 25-25-50. He just has no chemistry with our top-2 centers, isn't quite there to play a top-6 role on a team that wants to contend, and our LWs are pretty locked up at the moment.

Figured we'd need to take a roster player in return, and I like Grant as depth. I probably should have used Carrick.
