So St Louis is giving up the better player, and also giving vital cap relief to Toronto, and in return they get Joey Anderson???

They get Kerfoot and Joey Anderson. Barbashev is a ufa next year anyway.

Point I was trying to make, if you compare Barbashev to Kerfoot, one to one, Barbashev is much more valued, he is the better player, and also carries less cap hit. So obviously Toronto has to add more to the deal to make up for these 2 differences. The add on you gave was Joey Anderson, which is worth ridiculously little to St. Louis. So why would you think that St Louis contemplates this trade for more than a half second before rejecting the offer?
