I think realistically Nashville doesn't give up Tolvanen

What would Garland cost to acquire coming from a Jets fan?

DeMelo and a 1st? I'd rather keep Garland unless we're getting a solid top four RHD back. DeMelo seems like he's a fringe 2nd or 3rd pairing guy, but I could be wrong.

Would you do Dillon, a 1st, and a 2nd for Garland? Dillon can play as RD if you want him to, although he isn’t the greatest at it. The Dillon and Stanley pairing from last year still gives me nightmares lol.

In all honesty, I think DeMelo is VERY underrated but I understand Garland would probably command a decent return. I'd be nervous as a Jets fan if they gave up a 1st lol.

Value seems fair, but Dillon just doesn't really fit on our roster. We have more than enough decent 2nd/3rd pairing defensemen. If we're going to trade Garland for a D, it has to be someone who can be a medium to long-term partner for Hughes, or a true #3/#4 to play with OEL. Dillon is a good player, but he doesn't really fill either of those roles.



You might be right, and maybe DeMelo is that guy for us, but Garland was basically the only forward who could score for us at 5v5 last season, and he's a good 2-way player on a great contract. If we're trading him, it has to be for a sure thing, or we're going to want picks/prospects.
