Kadri Plus Other RFAs

Description
Please don't read too much into the trade value, I realize I'm probably off value/needs wise.

Question for Isles fans though...would you rather trade away Beauvillier or Bailey? I figure they would both fetch in the 2nd round - 3rd round pick range but again, my evaluation could be off.

Jets Accept

As a Jets fan, I think the Isles are a great trade partner at this point. I can admit that sometimes I tend to over-value my own players but I could see a trade similar to this benefiting both teams. Maybe the 2nd is too high but who knows.

Why are the Islanders the ones giving up the 2nd? They need more offense not less. Stanley has played almost 100 games and only put up 17 points. Not to mention he is a penalty machine. The Islanders will just put out Robin Salo who might not be as good defensively but he will put up more points.

This is definitely to much for Stanley…
I’d love to figure a way for WPG to acquire Dobson.
Maybe something around Dobson + Bailey to make cap room for Kadri… just not sure what would work going to NYI from the Jets

Imo the Jets add not the Isles. Stanley is 24 and not great statistically or analytically.

Dobson won't get traded. He's too valuable to NYI right now.

Totally fair guys, I admittedly didn't have a clue on fair value in this trade so that's my bad. Question for you though, do you think it's more realistic the Isles move Beauvillier or Bailey? I'd be interested in either on the Jets!

The Islanders are the team desperate to make cap space. No matter the player traded or the team they're traded to, the Islanders are going to get squeezed hard for big time adds. A 2nd likely is not enough to dump Beauvillier.

Imo I'd say Beauvillier because I think it might be hard to move Bailey. Columbus in a similar situation Opted to move Bjorkstrand instead of Nyquist or Voracek for the same reason.

I know what your saying but I'm not sure Beau has that little value yet he's still young and has potential to be a pretty good second line winger IMO. I think the return might be underwhelming like Bjorkstrands. A late pick maybe.

Definitely could be. I think if they leave it much longer though the market just keeps getting tighter.

While I agree it’s too much for Stanley, this is more about Isles gaining cap space which appears to be at a premium right now.
Isles Jets seem like such good trading partners

How are they in a squeeze? They have 11.2 Million to sign Dobson, Romanov, and Bellows? Unless Dobson is signing an 8x8 deal the Islanders are fine.

Look at the proposed lineup. Kadri is being reported as having a 7x7 contract lined up by a couple sources. They *have* to dump cap to fit that in and sign their RFAs. If it's not true then all of this is moot though.
