Description
What do you think that KERFYs value is? I think kerfoot would be a great add on to the wild, pretty good penalty killer, great middle top 6 forward. Great defensively and offensively.

And yes I’m aware that I’m above 50k of the cap
Trades
TOR
Been hearing this a lot leaf’s want a young depth forward that has potential, which basically it seems like they want another bunting or another top 6 middle forward. The only guy that I could think about is jost, he’s younger and has potential imo. But I also heard they instead just straight up trade him for picks

I'd love Duhaime or Gaudreau. Think the Wild would do that? Leafs could add a later pick (a 4th?)

I’m gonna pass on that, leaf’s don’t need him, first of if we retain the salary we’d have to give more and I don’t think we really need him

Minnesota will say no.. you know Minnesota isn't trading their 2c and a player they value in duhaime; next Marcus foligno for essentially cap dump in Kerfoot and more expensive player in Kerfoot

Kerfoot isn’t a cap dumb, he’s a pretty good player and could be useful for the wild imo

For what? Minnesota has plenty player like him including Connor dewar for cheap. Kerfoot isn't a C, he's a winger on bottom line. He's not playing on 3rd line. He's too expensive for 4th line . He's not a top 4 line player.

He can play centre and the wild are looking for a another forward that would be the cheapest for them

Which isn't Kerfoot. Sorry but Kerfoot isn't a 1c or 2c either. Minnesota can find a 13th, 14th forward elsewhere that doesn't block Marco Rossi or Adam Beckman

I want f***all to do with Kerfoot. And even less to do with Holl.

And it has nothing to do with whether I think he’s good or not. As a player, I think he’s fine. The Wild simply just don't need or should want him. That's it.

Why should the Wild want to bring in something they already basically have in Hartman? Hartman is already basically a Kerfoot clone, and is cheaper as well as a year younger to boot. Aside from being a better distributor of the puck, Kerfoot's numbers are more or less identical to Hartman's over the last three years.

The only gain to Kerfoot's game that the team would be acquiring would be that playmaking. Whereas Hartman's is that he's younger and cheaper.

That isn't enough of a reason to bring him in.

Then there's Eriksson-Ek. Yet another player that fits into that same category. He costs more, but is worth his contract due to being one of the best shutdown centerman in the league.

Finally, acquiring Kerfoot would just block Rossi. So, that's a no thank you. If the goal is to get a better playmaker on the roster, there's your ticket. So, punch it.

    Next.

Don't call us, cause we won't call you.

I wasn't mad at all. Farthest thing from it, actually. If you'd have read the entire comment, you might have figured that out. There is a difference to my being emphatic in my first two sentences and my being mad. The remainder of the post is the key clue in that regard.

Furthermore, if you actually think a post that's less then 250 words is anything close to an essay. Lord help you.

I simply have zero desire to acquire a player that we already multiple versions of and have no need for. Is that short enough for you?

You would probs have to do something like Kerfoot for Jost

Issue is im not thrilled with Jost's contract

Yes its a 2mill cap hit but the kids gonna make 2.25mill which would be his QO

In general VGK and CBJ really ruined the trade market

We went from Brown for a 2nd to OB for a 3rd and 4th. Heck Patches was traded for nothing
