It's more or less us just teasing Detroit fans for saying this same stuff about Werenski and how he will sign in Detroit to play with his buddy Larkin back before he signed his extension with us. There were numerous trades that were like Zach for a 1st + crap prospect. All fun

Yea, those wing fans are just trolling. There's no possible way Werenski could even sign with Detroit even if he wanted to as he was a RFA before he signed his big contract. Only if Detroit offer sheeted him which would cost multiple 1st round picks to do which he is not worth it for a re-building club like Detroit. And as Columbus would have matched anything below 10.5 million, there's no way Detroit's going north of that as it would cost four 1st round picks. Werenski is good but he's not 4 1st round picks good, only dman in the league I'd do that for would be Makar but that'd be a waste of time on it's own as Sakic would match him at league maximum even if you offered it.

I mean you see what has happened in CBJ past... PLD forcing himself out, Jeff Carter forcing himself out, Adam Foote forcing himself out. Not crazy for Detroit fans to think otherwise
