So the isles move Pageau, Beauvillier and Bailey for Old Man Wheeler and Brendan Dillon? I would argue Pageau and Beauvillier are way more valuable than Wheeler or Dillon. Bailey probably has similar value to Dillon. Meanwhile Wheeler has such a large cap hit that it doesn’t make any sense to swap Bailey for him.

Isles decline. Might block Chevy’s number too.

How would you react to trading a second line winger, a high end 3C and a middle six winger for Blake “8.25 Million Dollar Man” Wheeler and Brendan Dillon? IK I don’t think highly of this proposal. Smh.

Beat reporters in Winnipeg have said that TNSE doesn't want to retain salary. Against that backdrop, I doubt Wheeler is tradeable because any team that would trade for him would want a sweetener and those rebuilding/re-tooling teams aren't likely on Wheeler's 5 team "yes" list.
