I can't get behind paying a price like that. I get he's good but that's just too much. Bourgault would be 100% off limits for me considering he shoots right and the rw is very unclear in upcoming years. Also don't like idea of throwing balance off on d with left hand shot playing right side that's only an option in my opinion in the event of injuries. Good target except I personally don't think the asking price is worth it.

That's a ridiculous price to pay for a 2nd pairing defenseman.

Don’t see anybody taking Foegele without an asset attached to him. Either way it won’t be Dallas

I just threw Dallas in there. Definitely will have to be an asset attached to whomever team takes him

He's a 1st pairing defenseman making half of what Nurse makes for the next 3 years. Its going to hurt

He isn't a 1st pairing guy though. All of Mayo, Gostisbehere and Stralman played harder minutes than he did last season. All three players played a greater % of their TOI vs Elites, they all had worse zone starts v Elites and all were on for more faceoffs v Elites. He was sheltered.

Chychrun is tough to know what your getting because the team has been horrible for basically his entire career. Is he just lip stick on a pig the best of a bad bunch? I don't even know that so my interest in him is non existent based off the speculated ask.

Yeah, it's not easy to get a read on players like that, I agree. People tend to dismiss any negative results by blaming the team... but when his own coaches are playing defensive stalwarts (sarcasm alert!) like Gostisbehere and Stralman in harder situations, that's a massive, MASSIVE red flag to me. You can't just hand-wave that away.
