Rangers probably don’t need Miller after signing Trocheck. Canucks would probably want a better prospect than Lundkvist/Kravtsov. Both teams probably decline

its not even that.
The rangers at the deadline offered nils + chytil +1st. FOR TWO PLAYOFF RUNS.
we're now in the ONE SEASON.
The offer doesn't go up with less term.
this goes round and round.

VAN already declined this offer from NYR.

Personally don't hate it but won't be able to Re-Sign Miller unless a $5-8M contract heads out. Might defeat any chance the trade is made.

Key tip to keep you alive in these ACGMs comments:

Never post a New York trade. They are extremely defensive about their players

Rejecting an offer is fine, rejecting EVERY offer because it includes a player who isn’t even untouchable is just annoying. It happens in every thread. Everyone knows Miller trades are played out but what else is there to do other than discuss the possibilities

So if a team considers a player untouchable, they shouldn't point that out when the same trade is posted a thousand times? Sorry, if you're going to post trades over and over with players that are not available for trade, WHICH EVERY TEAM HAS, then you should expect the same response over and over. If you don't want to see that he is not available for trade, stop posting trades for him. Pretty simple.

What makes him untouchable tho? Do you seriously think if the right offer came through to put New York over the edge into contention they wouldn’t do it? I’m not saying Miller for Schnieder 1 for 1. But to say that he couldn’t even be on the table when you have him playing on the 3rd pair is just ridiculous. This is a site to speculate and create what if scenarios, don’t get so bent out of shape if another team likes one of your players. If you don’t like it that much then scroll past

He is NOT AVAILABLE for trade weather you like that or not. That's just the truth. He plays the 3rd pair because he was a 20 year old rookie, which should be pretty easy to figure out. He will be 2nd pair RD in a few more seasons when his ELC ends. The combination of his age, cap cost, size, physicality, and upside to his game make him UNTOUCHABLE. If you don't get that, it's your problem.

Wow! I didn’t know I was talking to Drury himself. You have to give to get, and if you don’t want to lose any of your players and stay where your team is at then that’s your own problem too chief. Schneider is behind Fox and your newly appointed captain in the depth chart. I understand why he’s valuable, which is why Vancouver fans are so high on him. Is that so hard to understand? Christ just relax, it’s a trade offer on a website with people who have no effect over what happens in the real world.

Who isn't relaxed? I didn't know you were talking for the Canucks GM as well. Who says you don't have to give to get? But you also don't have to trade a 20 year old because he is 3rd RD behind a Norris winner and Trouba. His time will come, there is no rush. The kid has 10 to 15 more years or more in the league and the Rangers have the luxury of letting him develop with mentors like Trouba and Fox. He isn't going anywhere, like it or not. So post all the wishful trades for him you want and you will keep getting the same answer.

... say the desperate knuckleheads who desperately try to sell you smug Jonathan Tanner, previously booted out of town, for a bundle of elcs even though we have the trickiest future cap in the league.

You still don't get it lol. BSchneider's name could be Elmer Fudd and not even pan out, yet the star of the show is the elc! Our future cap is gone. Discuss different names besides big grade a RDs like Dobson, BS, Morrow. We understand the desperation, nobody gives away these things away and are difficult to pry away. Find new names, pass
