CBJ lines to start the season

Description
Marchenko-Johnson-Chinakov play top 6 minutes in the AHL vs competing for 3rd or 4th line minutes or being scratched. Johnson skates as a center for a bit and if he is successful he could be the 3c after the deadline.

Trade deadline pieces-
Nyquist (50% retained) could get as much as a late 1st or as low as a 3rd, I’d say a 2nd is fair value for a 40-50 point winger.
Bean- very offensive defenseman, struggles in his own zone a bit, 2.3 is a bit much for him, but maybe a bottom feeder takes a shot at him as someone to run the PP.
Bemstrom- his track record is solid as he did lead the SHL in points for a few years before coming to the NHL, but that hasn’t quite translated to the NHL, someone will take a shot at him for a 900k contract, honestly would love to see him in Chicago opposite Kane.
Voracek- highly unlikely he gets moved with his contract, still has good vision and is a good passer, hopefully the goal scoring comes back a bit this season, maybe next offseason or next deadline someone would be interested in him at 4.25(4 mil retained) as a good middle 6 wing who could provide some depth scoring.
Texier- after starting to breakout last year I’m not sure he gets traded but maybe if other players start to breakout and push him back down the depth chart.

Most other player have no value (Korpisalo) or hold too much value in the organization to be traded at this time, unless it’s a massive overpayment.

Camp is going to be very interesting for the young guys... So many players who can prove themselves like Sillinger did last camp. Foudy could be a dark horse who finally earns a starting spot or at least a rotating spot , Marchenko could surprise and show his transition to the NHL game pace is seamless. I definitely feel like Chinny and Kent could use some time in the AHL especially if Kent wants to be an NHL center like he says he does. Losing Bjorky def leaves a winger spot open on the 2nd line if Tex can step up and take the spot where Gus is right now. Either way, it'll be a transition season most likely and in 2023-2024 we show the NHL how great the rebuild was.

Agreed, I also see the 2nd line wing spot as a place for Roslovic, if Johnson shows he can be a center in the AHL, having him and Sillinger as the 1-2 down the middle will be amazing.

Gaudreau-Sillinger-Laine
Voracek-Johnson-Roslovic
Marchenko-Jenner-Chiankov

That’s a solid top 9 if everything hits next season, then if Texier does step up, he could take Voracek’s spot and we trade Voracek (50% retained) to get at least a few assets out of him.

Would be a dream to finally have our 1C and 2C for the franchise

They probably mean rotating in and out of the lineup, not the roster. Doubtful he'd clear waivers, no.

Probably, he doesn’t have much of a track record for anyone to claim him. There are better players who will get waived and looked at to be claimed before Foudy.
