Description

The more I think about it, the more I like the fit here. It's a 1 year, prove it, deal that puts Milano in the best position to succeed and fills the holes that the Knights have.

For the goalie position, Thompson has absolutely earned the net. He played great at the end of last season. As for the backup, it really depends on Brossoit's health. If he isn't healthy in time, I wouldn't be surprised to see them pick someone up through waivers. Maybe one of the Sharks goalies.

They will even have cap space to make adjustments at the trade deadline. If Manninen, or a prospect, doesn't produce, they can upgrade that position and/or the goalie spot.

I get that but I think he'll have to readjust. Teams just won't pay him what he wants.

I can see him going anywhere between 1 and 2 mil but I also think it's going to be on the lower end. I could absolutely be wrong about this, though. I just assume that, the longer he stays unsigned, the lower his contract will be.

Depends on how long Brossoit is out.
