I would still turn it the f*** down.

Jost is 4 years younger and $1.3M+ cheaper in cap hit AAV.

Aside from the single fact I want absolutely nothing to do with Kerfoot. I don't care whether he's a good player or not.

He is.

The problem is, we already have two players just like him in Hartman and Eriksson-Ek. We have zero need for a 3rd.

There's also the issue that he would block Rossi from making the team. Which is an absolute no-no, IMO.

I'm inclined to agree but this would be my top dollar for him and it's more of a trade base

I think you make this kind of move with the intention of Kerfoot slotting in at 2nd line left wing with Boldy opposite and Rossi up the middle, so when making this kind of move, I'm no more worried about Kerfoot blocking Rossi than I am Jost or Freddy.

Maybe you can leverage Jost's age, cap hit and RFA status against Toronto for them to add something else into the pot
